Lots of stars fell into alignment and now I have an agent and WOOT, she is made of awesome. I'm not going to go all traditional route preachy on your asses and give you a bunch of "you musts or must-nots" but I'm personally, brilliantly pleased to have someone uber-smart handle the business end of things for me.

Additionally, this article by Charlie Stross, who is a smart, smart man, is making the rounds. I think it's worth a read. Is Amazon the devil in tap shoes? I don't know. I guess it depends on what you want out of your book selling industry. I personally want my cake (adorable indy bookstores with knowledgeable owners who lurve them some books) and eat it, too (One-Click, baby).
